About PulseGuard

Building a campus of confident first responders through education, partnership, and action.

Our Mission

PulseGuard is a Cornell University student organization dedicated to building a campus of first responders through peer-led, one-hour CPR and AED awareness sessions. We aim to give every student the confidence to act when every second counts.

We believe that emergency preparedness is a community responsibility. By training students, faculty, and Ithaca residents in life-saving techniques, we're creating a safer, more resilient community where anyone can respond confidently in critical moments.

Our student-led approach makes training accessible, relatable, and empowering—breaking down barriers to emergency education while building lasting connections across campus and beyond.

Our Journey

Founded in 2023, PulseGuard began as a grassroots initiative by Cornell students seeking to close the gap between awareness and action in cardiac emergencies. Today, we partner with organizations across campus to foster a culture of emergency preparedness.
